YOLBUL (NAVIGATION)
Kızıltepe Ulu Cami ilçenin en eski yapılarından biridir. 800 yıllık tarihiyle ilçenin göz bebeği olan cami Artuklular döneminde inşa edilmiştir. Caminin mihrap nişi üzerindeki kitabesine göre; Artukoğullarından Yavlak Arslan tarafından 1184'te caminin yapımına başlanmıştır.
Caminin yapımı devam ederken Yavlak Arslan’ın vefat etmesi üzerine kardeşi Artuk Arslan tarafından 1224 yılında caminin yapımı tamamlanmıştır. Artuklu Dönemi mimari özelliklerini taşıyan caminin mimari süslemeleri oldukça zengindir. Cami ibadete açıktır.

Kızıltepe Ulu Mosque is one of the oldest structures in the district. The mosque was built during the Artukid period and with its 800 years of age it is one of the most important structures of the district.
According to the inscription on the mihrab niche of the mosque; The construction of the mosque was started in 1184 by an Artuqid leader, Yavlak Arslan. Since Yavlak Arslan died during the construction of the mosque, the construction of the mosque was completed by his brother Artuk Arslan in 1224.
The architectural decorations of the mosque demonstrating the architectural features of the Artuqid Period, are quite rich. The mosque is open for worship.
